BACS is seeking an enthusiastic and student-focused English Language Arts Teacher who is passionate about helping students grow as readers, writers, and critical thinkers.

The ideal candidate thrives in a collaborative environment, brings engaging and flexible instructional practices, and is excited to connect ELA instruction to real-world, project-based, and agriculture-integrated experiences.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging instruction in reading, writing, grammar, and literature within a competency-based framework
• Design and facilitate project-based and interdisciplinary learning experiences that connect literacy to real-world applications
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and student-centered classroom environment
• Support both the academic and social-emotional development of middle school students
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs
• Collaborate with colleagues to align instruction and support student growth
• Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress
• Utilize ongoing assessment practices to monitor progress toward mastery

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, or related field
• Valid teaching certification (middle level or secondary ELA preferred) OR 3 years of classroom experience and a passion for language.
• Strong classroom management, communication, and collaboration skills
• Comfort with or willingness to engage in hands-on, outdoor, and agriculture-based learning environments
• Commitment to competency-based education and student-centered practices
