Civil Litigation Associate Attorney - Defense
Position Overview
We are a premier litigation firm known throughout the Northeast, seeking a Civil Litigation Associate Attorney to join us in our Boston office. The ideal candidate will have a background in various areas of civil litigation defense, including but not limited to Medical Malpractice Defense, Products Liability, Professional Liability, General Liability and Premises Liability Defense, Commercial, Business, Construction, and Employment Litigation. Key Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of civil litigation matters from inception to resolution
- Conduct thorough legal research and analysis
- Draft and file legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs
- Represent clients in court hearings, depositions, and mediation sessions
- Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies and prepare for trials
- Maintain accurate case files and documentation in compliance with legal standards
- Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court officials
- Stay up-to-date with changes in laws and regulations relevant to civil litigation
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD)
- Active license to practice in the state of Massachusetts
- 1+ years of experience in civil litigation, preferably in defense
- Excellent research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
- Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
