In this contract opportunity beginning as soon as possible and continuing through the end of the school year, you'll collaborate closely within classroom and 1:1 settings to make a positive, lasting difference in students’ academic and personal journeys.
Your responsibilities will include working directly with students across a wide range of grade levels, delivering 1:1 care, and supporting daily needs for students ranging from kindergarten through high school. You’ll partner with teachers and staff to foster a nurturing and inclusive environment, assist with classroom management, and contribute to effective learning plans, especially for those requiring individualized support and behavioral guidance.
Desired Qualifications:
• Rhode Island Paraprofessional and/or Teacher Assistant Certification (required)
• Experience offering 1:1 care within educational settings, particularly with K-12th grade caseloads
• Prior school-based experience and familiarity with behavioral supports preferred
• Ability to adapt and engage with students from kindergarten to 12th grade
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
• Passion for helping children succeed academically and socially
Responsibilities:
• Provide direct academic and behavioral support to both individual students and small groups
• Implement individualized educational and behavioral plans under teacher supervision
• Foster a positive, motivating, and respectful atmosphere
• Support students in classroom routines and social development
• Monitor progress and communicate effectively with the multidisciplinary team
