- We are seeking a skilled Automation Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automation systems, particularly with Allen Bradley PLCs, and a solid understanding of structured text and ladder logic. This role requires proficiency in various automation technologies and a keen eye for detail to ensure safety and efficiency in our processes.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement automation systems using Allen Bradley PLCs. Create and modify structured text and ladder logic programs to optimize system performance.
- Integrate and configure HMI (Human-Machine Interface) systems for seamless operation. Utilize vision cameras (e.g., Cognex or Kienz) to enhance automation processes.
- Implement motion control systems to ensure precise and efficient operations. Develop and maintain safety programming to comply with industry standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to automation systems and equipment.
- Provide technical support and training to team members on automation technologies.
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Allen Bradley PLC programming and understanding of structured text and ladder logic.
- Familiarity with vision cameras (e.g., Cognex or Kienz) is a plus.
- Experience with safety and safety programming is desirable. Knowledge of Codesys is a nice-to-have, but not required.
- Strong understanding of HMI systems and Factory Talk software.
- Ability to work with motion control systems and safety codes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

- As a Controls Engineer, you'll play a key role in supporting our Universal Smart Paper Machine, driving innovation and efficiency in our manufacturing processes.
Your Responsibilities:
- Design, test, and deploy retrofits and design changes to our existing machines in our BOS27 lab, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance.
- Travel to our SHV1 and CLE3 locations to implement changes and provide on-site support, collaborating with our teams to resolve any issues that arise.
- Provide feedback to inform design decisions for our next-generation Smart Paper machine, which will primarily support paper packaging.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in controls engineering, applying your knowledge to continuously improve our processes and systems.
- HMI - FactoryTalk, Cognex barcode scanner as must.
- Any prior vision experience as well Motion Control (programmed from scratch)
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Proficiency in Allen Bradley PLC and understanding of structured text and ladder logic
