Position Overview
We are seeking a Sr. Financial Analyst – Sales & Marketing to partner with the Sales team and senior management on financial analysis, forecasting, budgeting, profitability, and strategic business decisions.
This position is being hired to cover for a permanent employee on leave, with the goal of onboarding the selected candidate before early November for training.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze sales forecasts, pricing, product mix, margins, and Sales & Marketing costs.
- Lead annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes.
- Prepare financial reports, performance analysis, and management commentary.
- Manage month-end close, including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Review and validate sales commissions and incentive payments.
- Perform ad hoc financial analysis and support business initiatives.
- Identify financial issues and develop recommendations and solutions.
- Support internal control reviews and maintain required documentation.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field.
- 5–7 years of progressive financial analysis experience.
- Strong experience with forecasting, budgeting, pricing, and profitability analysis.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to prioritize competing demands and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred
- Manufacturing industry experience preferred but not required.
Experience with SAP, Power BI, Prophix, or MicroStrategy is a plus
