Senior CMM Programmer (PC-DMIS) / Metrologist

Micron Solutions is looking for an experienced Senior CMM Programmer to join our team in Fitchburg, MA.
We're looking for someone with strong hands-on PC-DMIS programming and GD&T experience who can independently develop CMM programs, solve complex measurement challenges, and work directly with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality.
This is a programming-focused position, not a CMM operator role.
We know experienced CMM programmers are in demand, so we're willing to be flexible. Full-time and part-time candidates are encouraged to apply, and flexible scheduling options are available.
- Create, modify, and optimize PC-DMIS CMM programs
- Develop measurement strategies for complex plastic and precision-machined components
- Perform dimensional and first article inspections
- Troubleshoot complex dimensional and measurement issues
- Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T
- Develop inspection plans and measurement methods
- Perform Gage R&R and measurement system analysis
- Support SPC and process capability activities
- Work directly with Engineering, Quality, and Manufacturing to resolve dimensional issues
- Support validation and new product introduction activities
- Train inspectors and manufacturing personnel on measurement methods and best practices
- 3+ years of hands-on CMM programming experience preferred
- Strong proficiency programming with Hexagon PC-DMIS
- Ability to independently create and troubleshoot CMM programs
- Strong knowledge of GD&T and blueprint reading
- Solid understanding of dimensional metrology
- Experience with precision measurement and inspection equipment
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Vision measurement systems
- Gage R&R, MSA, SPC, or process capability
- Precision machining
- Plastic injection molding
- Medical device manufacturing
- ISO 13485 or FDA-regulated environments
- Minitab
- IQMS/DELMIAWorks
- ASQ certification
- $40.00 - $62.50/hour, based on experience
