We are seeking an engaging and mission focused professional to fill our Volunteer Coordinator role at our Worcester, MA headquarters!
Reporting to the Community Engagement Manager, the Volunteer Coordinator will fill the key function of recruiting, onboarding, and coordinating individual and group volunteers to support our community engagement services and activities throughout the year.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY:
- Lead volunteer recruitment for individuals and groups through diverse internal and external outreach channels.
- Screen and onboard new volunteers for a wide range of organizational events, projects, and assignments.
- Partner with Marketing and Development departments to create and maintain recruitment collateral, steward donor relationships, and identify opportunities to deepen community engagement.
- Track donor-volunteer interactions and maintain volunteer database
- Manage compliance documentation, track impact metrics, and develop programs promotional materials.
- Execute other duties as assigned by leadership.
WHAT YOU MUST HAVE:
- Bachelor's degree in nonprofit management, human services, communications, public administration, business administration, social services, or a related field required. Equivalent military experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Minimum of 0 to 2 years of relevant experience in volunteer coordination, nonprofit administration, community engagement, program coordination, customer service, event coordination, or a related field.
- Must be able to successfully pass a CORI/Background records check.
- Compliance with Veterans Inc. COVID-19 Vaccination Policy. Religious and Medical Exemptions are considered.
