Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Special Education, or Visual Impairments, active Teacher of the Visually Impaired certification and 1+ years Teacher of the Visually Impaired experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A part-time opportunity is available for a Teacher for the Visually Impaired serving one student in a K-12 school setting. This contract role involves completing an evaluation and attending the students IEP meeting. The student is inclusion-based at the elementary level.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct a comprehensive assessment for one visually impaired student
  • Attend and participate in the students IEP meeting to provide expert insights and recommendations
  • Ensure all evaluation activities are completed onsite at the designated school location

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Active teaching certification or licensure in Massachusetts for Teachers of the Visually Impaired
  • Previous school-based experience working with visually impaired students required
  • Ability to complete CORI background check and fingerprinting as state-mandated
  • Strong communication skills and professionalism for participation in a Zoom interview
