Location: Hyannis, MA (on-site)
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Learn and assist with the construction, repair, modification, and maintenance of molds and tooling.
- Operate and learn to safely use machine tools and shop equipment, including mills, lathes, grinders, drill presses, and other precision equipment.
- Learn to use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and height gauges.
- Perform basic machining, fitting, grinding, drilling, and finishing operations.
- Assist experienced mold makers with mold assembly, disassembly, fitting, and troubleshooting.
- Learn proper techniques for spotting, fitting, polishing, and finishing mold components.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow all company safety procedures and operating instructions.
- Perform other duties related to mold making and tooling as assigned.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn a skilled trade.
- Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic.
Skills Preferred
- Vocational, technical, machining, manufacturing, or mechanical training.
- Experience with machine shop equipment or hand tools.
- Basic blueprint or technical drawing experience.
- Familiarity with precision measuring tools.
