Job Details:
\n
• Work 12-hour shifts with a requirement of 12 shifts per month (3 shifts per week)
\n • 4 weekend shifts required per month
\n • Department leadership completes the schedule around requested time off
\n • Patient ratio of 2:1 in a 25-bed ICU unit
\n • No LNAs or PCTs on unit; around the clock mid-levels, trauma surgeons, and respiratory therapists available; PT/OT available during day shift
\n • Work with GE Monitors, Hamilton BiPAPs and high-flow devices, Puritan ventilators, and Hemospheres equipment
\n • Document using Meditech Expanse system
\n • Update MyCare boards each shift during bedside shift report; complete bedside shift report at each change of shift
\n • Floating will be on a rotation basis with travelers floating first
\n • Strong telemetry skills required
\n • Experience titrating vasoactive and inotrope medications required
\n • Chest tube experience required
\n • Previous ICU experience required
\n • Open heart experience preferred
\n • Temporary pacing experience preferred
\n • Swan-Ganz catheter experience preferred
\n • Procedures performed on unit include intubation, central line and arterial line placement, and chest tube placement
\n • Required certifications: ACLS, BLS
\n • Dress code: Scrubs (any color)

Facility:

This facility is a certified Comprehensive Stroke Center and Level 2 Trauma Center, also holding a Three Star STS Open Heart Program designation. The ICU is a 25-bed unit located on the main campus, supported by around-the-clock mid-levels, trauma surgeons, and respiratory therapists, with PT/OT services available during day shifts. The facility is equipped with advanced technology and modern equipment to support a wide range of critical care procedures and interventions.
