Step into a meaningful role shaping student success as a Special Education Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. This rewarding contract position offers the chance to make a direct impact through personalized instruction in a variety of educational settings. The assignment runs from September 2026 through June 2027, with a part-time schedule of 25 hours per week—Monday through Friday.
As the designated educator, you will be tasked with providing 5 hours of Wilson Reading Instruction each week to support a middle school student’s literacy development. The remainder of your hours will involve delivering specialized instruction at the high school, a charter school, and a Montessori environment—focusing exclusively on teaching rather than case management or administrative duties.
Ideal candidates will possess:
- Licensure and credentials appropriate for Special Education teaching
- Demonstrated experience with Wilson Reading System or similar structured literacy intervention
- Comfort working with middle and high school students across diverse settings
- Flexibility to instruct within varying school cultures and classroom environments
- Commitment to fostering positive academic growth and individualized learning
Primary duties include:
- Delivering high-quality, targeted literacy and academic intervention aligned with student learning goals
- Maintaining consistent instructional schedules across multiple sites
- Collaborating with school staff to support seamless service delivery
- Documenting instructional activities and progress as needed
If an on-site teacher cannot be found, a qualified remote instructor will also be considered.
