Location:
Corporate headquarters - Londonderry, New Hampshire with a manufacturing facility in Denmark. Our mixers and systems are sold world-wide and to some of the biggest name brands in the food and chemical industries!
Who You Are:
You are an experienced Machinist II that is responsible for setting up and operating CNC machine tools to produce precision metal parts in small batches; one-off's, prototypes, short runs and repair rebuild. The Machinist will work on a variety of machines such as vertical milling machines and horizontal lathes. The Machinist ensures that products meet the precise specifications set out by engineering by either drawings or verbal instructions.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Must be flexible enough to work in all areas of operation per the direction of the supervisor
- Desire to learn programing of CNC controls, both G code and conversational
- Studies/understands blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, and/or sample part to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work piece, sequence of operations and setup requirements
- Measure, mark, and scribe dimensions and reference points on material or work piece as guides for subsequent machining
- Select, align and secure fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories and materials.
- Start and observe machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and adjust machine controls or control media as required
- Verify conformance of finished workpiece to specifications
- Set up and operate machine on trial run to verify accuracy of machine settings or programmed control data

- Demonstrated experience collaborating with colleagues and co-workers, with the ability to work effectively both independently and in a supportive diverse team environment
Schedule: Full time position. For six months of the year (spring/summer), the department operates on a 9/80 work schedule
