Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Ignite your passion for making a difference by supporting students as a Special Education Teacher for grades 7th and 8th. We're searching for two compassionate educators to join a dedicated team, working with a manageable caseload of approximately 10 students. This full-time contract position runs from July 1st through June 11th, offering a rewarding experience throughout the academic year.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification
- Experience supporting grades 7-8 preferred
- Strong classroom management and differentiated instruction skills
- Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collaborative spirit for working with other professionals and families
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored instruction in alignment with IEPs for a caseload of 10 students
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting strategies as needed
- Foster a supportive, engaging classroom environment
- Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and support staff
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians, building strong school-to-home partnerships
- Participate actively in team meetings and professional development opportunities
