Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time contract opportunity is available for a School Psychologist to support an elementary or middle school, with the exact location to be determined in the Milton, VT area. This position runs from August 18 through June 17, 2027, providing consistent support throughout the academic year.
The School Psychologist will manage a caseload of approximately 90 students with current IEPs, delivering comprehensive psychological services on-site to help meet students’ educational, emotional, and behavioral needs. This role requires strong collaboration with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to create effective intervention strategies and support plans.
Key qualifications and experience:
- Possession of a Psychologist degree and valid licensure in the state of Vermont.
- Previous experience working in school settings is preferred.
- Solid knowledge of special education laws, assessment protocols, and intervention methodologies.
- Ability to manage a substantial caseload efficiently while maintaining high-quality student services.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, families, and staff.
Responsibilities include:
- Conducting psychological assessments and evaluations for students with special education needs.
- Developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Providing counseling, crisis intervention, and behavioral support as needed.
- Collaborating with teachers and school personnel to develop strategies promoting academic success and social-emotional growth.
