Key Qualifications:
- Valid certification or licensure as a School Psychologist
- Master’s or Specialist degree in School Psychology or a related field
- Experience with psychoeducational assessments, counseling, and direct student services
- Familiarity with special education processes, IEPs, and Response to Intervention (RTI)
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with staff, families, and outside agencies
- Ability to handle confidential information and sensitive situations with professionalism
- Adaptable and organized, able to thrive in a fast-paced, diverse school setting
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess students’ cognitive, academic, social-emotional, and behavioral needs
- Participate in multi-disciplinary teams and provide input for eligibility determinations
- Offer consultation, counseling, and intervention services to students individually or in small groups
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to develop effective educational and behavior plans
- Support and implement positive behavioral supports and crisis intervention as needed
- Document services and maintain thorough, accurate records in compliance with regulations
