In this role, you will work 1:1 with a student in the life skills program, assisting both with academic tasks and personal care needs. Your days will be enriching and varied, ensuring the student’s comfort, engagement, and inclusion throughout each school day.
What you’ll bring:
- Experience as a Paraprofessional or PCA; LNA/CNA credentials are also welcomed
- Warmth, empathy, and dedicated support for students of all abilities
- Familiarity with assisting students on toileting plans and physical positioning, or willingness to learn
- Strong communication skills, reliability, and a collaborative mindset
- Adaptability to shifting needs and a positive, encouraging approach
Your daily responsibilities will include:
- Providing responsive academic support tailored to the student’s learning plan
- Assisting with personal care routines, including toileting and positioning needs, in accordance with established protocols
- Supporting student participation in classroom and school activities
- Collaborating with teachers, staff, and families to ensure cohesive care
- Upholding a safe, inclusive, and dignified environment for the student
Enjoy the benefit of regular weekday hours from 8:50 a.m. to 3:22 p.m., Monday through Friday, through June 2026. This assignment offers valuable hands-on experience in an educational setting and the chance to positively influence a student’s learning journey.
