Location: Franklin, MA
Pay: Up to $25 per hour, depending on experience
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.– 5:00 p.m.
Work Arrangement: Four days onsite and one day remote after training
The Panther Group is seeking a highly organized Purchasing Coordinator to join a growing manufacturing organization in Franklin, MA.
This position supports purchasing and operational activities by confirming purchase orders, communicating with vendors, monitoring delivery schedules, and ensuring that accurate information is maintained within the company’s ERP and tracking systems.
The ideal candidate has experience in purchasing support, order management, procurement coordination, customer service, or administrative operations. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with vendors and internal teams, resolving order discrepancies, and keeping purchasing activities moving on schedule.
Key Responsibilities

Review purchase orders, order acknowledgments, project details, delivery dates, and supporting documentation for accuracy and completeness

Contact vendors to confirm receipt of purchase orders, pricing, availability, and expected delivery dates

Follow up on open orders and expedite materials or components when necessary

Monitor order status and communicate schedule changes, delays, or potential issues to appropriate internal teams

Maintain accurate purchase-order and vendor information within the ERP system and internal tracking tools

Coordinate with purchasing, manufacturing, warehouse, project, and other operational teams

Investigate missing, incomplete, or conflicting information and work with the appropriate parties to resolve discrepancies

Prepare and distribute order-confirmation emails, follow-up communications, spreadsheets, reports, and supporting documentation

Respond promptly and professionally to vendor and internal inquiries

Maintain documentation in accordance with company procedures and quality standards

Support process improvements designed to increase purchasing efficiency and order accuracy
Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred
-
One to three years of experience in purchasing support, procurement coordination, order management, customer service, administrative support, or a related function

Experience working in a manufacturing, distribution, supply chain, or operational environment is preferred

Familiarity with purchase orders, vendor communications, order acknowledgments, or delivery-date tracking is highly desirable

Experience using an ERP, MRP, purchasing, or order-management system is preferred

Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word

Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to manage multiple open orders, deadlines, and follow-up activities simultaneously

Proactive problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently

Ability to collaborate effectively with vendors and cross-functional internal teams
Schedule and Work Arrangement
This position works Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The team currently follows a hybrid schedule consisting of four days onsite and one day remote. During training, the selected candidate may be required to work onsite five days per week until fully trained.
