The Repo Agent plays a critical role in asset recovery by efficiently repossessing vehicles and equipment while maintaining compliance with legal standards. Reporting to the Repo Manager, this position requires a balance of in-field activity and communication skills to interact with customers and document all repossession activities accurately. Frequent travel and overnight stays are expected, reflecting the nature of the work in diverse locations.
Responsibilities
- Recover vehicles and equipment in accordance with company policies and legal regulations
- Interact professionally with customers to facilitate asset recovery
- Complete all required documentation and maintain accurate records
- Ensure compliance with repossession laws and internal procedures
- Inspect vehicles and equipment during repossession for damage or issues
- Communicate findings and updates promptly to the Repo Manager
- Travel extensively and stay overnight as job duties require
Preferred Qualifications
- Entry-level experience in asset recovery
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license
- Strong negotiation skills
- Knowledge of repossession laws
- Risk assessment capabilities
- Proficient report writing
- Conflict resolution skills
