Job Summary:
HW Staffing is seeking a Quality Control Technician to join our production team in Ayer, MA. This hands-on role ensures that our food and beverage products meet the highest standards of safety, quality, and consistency. Ideal for someone with a sharp eye for detail, this position is perfect for a candidate who enjoys combining quality assurance with production floor activity in a fast-paced environment.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor production lines to ensure consistent product flow and quality.
- Measure, weigh, and blend ingredients to meet exact specifications.
- Conduct in-process and final product quality checks using specialized equipment.
- Sample bottled products to inspect fill levels, labeling accuracy, freshness dating, and package integrity.
- Record and maintain detailed testing documentation.
- Communicate quality issues to the production and maintenance teams for timely resolution.
- Sanitize and deep clean blending and packaging equipment according to GMP protocols.
- Follow food safety guidelines and uphold plant cleanliness standards.
- Support production goals through collaboration and adaptability.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support overall team success.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Previous experience in food manufacturing or quality control preferred
- Ability to follow written procedures and perform precise measurements
- Strong attention to detail and record-keeping skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
- Familiarity with GMPs and food safety protocols a plus
- Reliable, communicative, and committed to product excellence
Work Environment:
This position operates within a high-speed food/beverage production environment. It includes standing for long periods, working near moving machinery, and adhering to strict food safety and cleanliness standards.
