Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) – School-Based
Location: Wilmington, VT
Job Type: Full-Time | Contract (School Year)
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to support students within Wilmington, VT. This role involves working closely with students who require behavioral support, implementing individualized plans, and collaborating with educators and specialists to promote positive outcomes in the classroom.
Key Responsibilities:
Implement behavior intervention plans (BIPs) under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
Provide 1:1 or small group behavioral support to students
Collect and record data on student progress and behavior
Assist with classroom management and de-escalation strategies
Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and related service providers
Support students in developing social, communication, and adaptive skills
Qualifications:
Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification required
Experience working with children or adolescents, preferably in a school setting
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to remain patient, flexible, and professional in a dynamic environment
High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree in psychology, education, or related field preferred
