About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and patient-focused Radiology Technologist to join our Medical Imaging team. This role is responsible for performing X-Ray and CT procedures while delivering high-quality patient care and ensuring accurate, timely imaging services.
You will work in a collaborative healthcare environment, supporting physicians and patients through both clinical and administrative responsibilities.
Key ResponsibilitiesX-Ray & Imaging
- Perform routine and complex X-Ray procedures using fixed and portable equipment
- Execute trauma protocols and support OR and fluoroscopy procedures
- Provide individualized patient care based on age, condition, and needs
CT Imaging
- Perform CT scans in accordance with established protocols
- Recognize emergency situations and initiate appropriate response (CPR/code procedures)
- Prepare and administer contrast media (oral, IV, rectal)
- Start IV lines and assist with interventional procedures (biopsies, drainages, etc.)
- Perform daily equipment safety checks and quality control
PACS & Imaging Systems
- Ensure accurate archiving of digital images
- Troubleshoot imaging system issues as needed
- Transfer images to other facilities and prepare CDs
- Maintain accurate documentation and technical notes
HIS/RIS & Documentation
- Ensure timely and accurate exam reporting
- Verify patient identity using proper protocols
- Manage schedules, orders, and billing accuracy
Team & Patient Care
- Deliver exceptional patient care and communication
- Collaborate with physicians, radiologists, and care teams
- Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality
- Support a culture of safety, teamwork, and service excellence
QualificationsRequired
- Graduate of an AMA-approved Radiologic Technology program
- ARRT registered (RT required; CT certification required within 18 months)
- 1+ year of X-Ray experience (clinical rotations accepted)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- Registered with the New Hampshire Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy
Preferred
- Experience with CT imaging and contrast administration
- Strong familiarity with PACS, HIS/RIS systems
Work Environment
- Fast-paced clinical setting
- Combination of patient interaction, imaging procedures, and administrative tasks
- Physical activity including standing, lifting (up to 25 lbs), and assisting patients
