Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Deaf Education, active DHH teaching certification, and 1+ years Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Certification or licensure as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing is required
- Experience delivering instruction to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing
- Strong understanding of IEP and 504 processes, including NHSEIS for IEP development
- Skilled in administering and interpreting evaluation and progress reports
- Excellent collaborative skills in consulting with families and specialized service providers
- Ability to manage and troubleshoot amplification devices such as hearing aids or cochlear implants
- Strong organizational and record-keeping abilities
What You’ll Do:
- Deliver personalized instruction to students receiving Deaf and Hard of Hearing services
- Regularly collaborate on developing, implementing, and monitoring IEPs and 504 plans
- Apply evaluation and progress data to inform teaching strategies and IEP proposals
- Maintain accurate records regarding instruction and student outcomes
- Provide classroom support to ensure successful modifications are implemented
- Consult frequently with families, audiologists, SLPs, and team members to enhance student success
- Train staff on hearing loss technology, strategies, and necessary accommodations
- Oversee, troubleshoot, and manage student amplification devices, including ordering parts as needed
- Empower students to advocate for their needs and manage classroom accommodations
- Uphold all applicable NH Special Education Procedural Safeguards and district policies
- Participate in site-based responsibilities and meet required professional development goals
