Canaan Fuels is looking for an experienced, dependable, and hands-on Store Manager to oversee the daily operations of our Plymouth convenience store and fuel station. The Store Manager is responsible for maintaining a clean, well-stocked, and customer-focused location while leading employees and ensuring the store operates efficiently and according to company standards.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day operation of the convenience store and fuel station.
- Hire, train, schedule, supervise, and hold Sales Associates accountable to company standards.
- Maintain excellent customer service and professionally handle customer questions, concerns, and complaints.
- Complete daily cash counts, cash reconciliation, and prepare daily bank deposits.
- Monitor cash handling, register activity, and store security procedures.
- Order merchandise and supplies from vendors and ensure orders are received and put away properly.
- Monitor inventory levels, product availability, expiration dates, and back-stock.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked store, including coolers, restrooms, food service areas, and exterior areas.
- Conduct regular inventory and product checks to minimize shortages, waste, and out-of-stocks.
- Complete regular fuel price surveys and communicate pricing information to management.
- Ensure all employees follow company policies and applicable federal and state regulations, including requirements relating to tobacco, lottery, food service, and other regulated products.
- Ensure daily, weekly, and monthly operational and cleaning procedures are completed.
- Monitor equipment, facility, and maintenance issues and communicate problems promptly.
- Ensure proper staffing and assist with coverage when necessary.
- Communicate daily store needs, operational concerns, and opportunities to management.
- Lead by example and maintain Canaan Fuels' standards for cleanliness, courtesy, customer service, and efficiency.
What We're Looking For
- Previous retail, convenience store, gas station, restaurant, or related management experience preferred.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
- Comfortable handling cash, deposits, inventory, and vendor orders.
- Ability to lead, train, and hold employees accountable.
- Strong customer service skills and a professional attitude.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
- Must be dependable and willing to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays when needed.

- Competitive salary: $60,000-$65,000 per year
