Job Title: Electrician

Job Summary:
The Electrician is responsible for performing electrical work and supporting related tasks as directed. This role ensures work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company and regulatory standards.

Safety Responsibilities:

  • Follow and promote all company and OSHA safety standards

  • Ensure safe work practices are consistently maintained
  • \n

\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities:

    \n
  • Determine material needs and communicate requests to the supervisor
  • \n

  • Provide technical assistance as needed
  • \n

  • Read and interpret basic blueprints and wiring diagrams
  • \n

  • Perform electrical work as assigned
  • \n

  • Set up, operate, and assist in troubleshooting electrical equipment
  • \n

  • Complete equipment hook-ups and installations under direction
  • \n

  • Support the Craft Manager with scheduling, planning, and workload evaluation as needed
  • \n

  • Comply with the Company’s Non-Discrimination and Anti-Harassment Policy
  • \n

  • Perform other duties as assigned

\nQualifications:
To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Education and Experience:

    \n
  • Minimum of 3 years of electrical experience
  • \n

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • \n

\nSkills and Abilities:

Communication:

  • Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors, coworkers, and others

\nLanguage:

    \n
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents, manuals, schedules, and regulations
  • \n

  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • \n

\nMathematical Skills:

  • Basic math skills including percentages, measurements, and calculations
  • \n

  • Understanding of basic algebra and geometry
  • \n

\nReasoning Ability:

    \n
  • Ability to solve practical problems and work with limited standardization
  • \n

  • Ability to follow written, verbal, and diagram-based instructions
  • \n

\nCertifications/Licenses:

  • None required

\nPhysical Demands:

  • Ability to work throughout vessels, piers, docks, and shipyard environments
  • \n

  • Regularly required to stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl
  • \n

  • Frequent use of hands and arms for handling equipment
  • \n

  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • \n

  • Vision requirements include close, distance, peripheral, and depth perception
  • \n

  • May be required to operate a high-reach lift after training
  • \n

\nWork Environment:

  • Frequently exposed to outdoor weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold
  • \n

  • May be exposed to wet or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, and elevated work areas

  • Noise levels are typically loud in shipyard settings and moderate in office areas
