Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Receive incoming raw materials and supplies.
- Inspect shipments for accuracy, damage, and proper documentation.
- Unload incoming trucks using a forklift or other material handling equipment.
- Pick, pack, label, and prepare customer orders for shipment.
- Load outbound trucks for delivery to customers, ensuring orders are complete, accurate, properly secured, and shipped on time.
- Verify shipping and receiving paperwork, including packing slips and bills of lading.
- Enter shipping and receiving information into the company's inventory system.
- Maintain organized warehouse inventory and storage locations.
- Perform cycle counts and assist with inventory control.
- Follow FIFO (First-In, First-Out) inventory practices where applicable.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely.
- Comply with OSHA regulations and all company safety policies.
- Work closely with production, customer service, and purchasing to ensure timely deliveries.
- Assist with general warehouse and shipping duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous shipping and receiving or warehouse experience preferred.
- Forklift certification or experience preferred (training available).
- Basic computer skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to read shipping documents and work orders.
- Dependable with excellent attendance.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout the workday.
- Ability to safely operate forklifts.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing and warehouse environment.
