Job Description

Job DescriptionHelp Build Our New Maynard Clinic - Up to $4,000 Sign-On Bonus

FYZICAL Therapy & Balance Centers is a locally owned outpatient physical therapy practice expanding from our established, 5-star Bedford clinic to a brand-new clinic at Maynard Crossing. We are looking for a Physical Therapist who wants excellent one-on-one patient care, clinical autonomy backed by a strong team, and a meaningful role in shaping a new clinic from the beginning.

We are especially interested in a PT with 2+ years of outpatient experience who can work independently, enjoys being part of a collaborative team, and is excited to help build something. Exceptional newer clinicians with a strong clinical story are also encouraged to apply.

  • $86,000-$110,000 base salary for a full-time schedule, based on experience and role; prorated for reduced schedules
  • Performance bonus tied to growth and rewards documentation time.
  • $4,000 sign-on bonus for experienced PTs
  • 32-40 hours per week with a four-day workweek available
  • 40-minute, truly one-on-one visits - no double-booking and no handing patients off to aides or techs
  • No required evenings or regular weekends
  • 10 days PTO + 6 paid holidays
  • Health insurance with employer contribution
  • 401(k) with 3% employer match

ResponsibilitiesThe Clinical Work

Expect a genuinely varied caseload, approximately 60% balance/vestibular and 40% orthopedic/musculoskeletal. Some balance or vestibular experience is preferred, but you do not need to arrive as a deep vestibular expert. Strong clinicians with relevant experience in areas such as geriatrics, neurology or fall prevention may also be a great fit, and you will have experienced colleagues to help expand your skills.

The new clinic will include specialized equipment such as Solo-Step overhead safety support, vestibular goggles, BlazePods, Normatec and ANCORE.

What You Will Do

  • Evaluate patients and develop individualized plans of care
  • Provide one-on-one treatment across orthopedic, balance, vestibular, neurologic and geriatric populations
  • Educate patients and families to support recovery, independence and fall prevention
  • Collaborate with PTs, PTAs, the Clinical Director and our Client Care Specialists
  • Participate in clinical meetings, case reviews and ongoing training
  • Help shape programs, workflows and the clinical environment as Maynard grows
  • Participate in occasional community presentations, events or weekend training scheduled in advance
  • Document efficiently in Prompt EMR

Required SkillsWho We Are Looking For

  • Massachusetts PT license by start date
  • PT degree from an accredited physical therapy program (DPT, MPT or equivalent)
  • 2+ years of outpatient experience strongly preferred
  • Some balance/vestibular experience preferred; strong related geriatric or neurologic experience also valued
  • Comfort working independently while actively collaborating with a team
  • Strong communication skills and a patient-centered approach
  • Someone who wants to be invested in the success of the clinic, not simply treat a schedule and go home
  • Interest in community education and outreach. You do not need prior presentation experience, but you should be energized by opportunities to teach and represent the clinic in the community

Clinical Support Without Micromanagement

You will have meaningful clinical autonomy, with the backbone of an experienced team. The successful candidate can start immediately at our Bedford clinic for onboarding, cross-training and integration with the team before transitioning primarily to Maynard when the new clinic opens later this fall.

  • Regular clinical meetings and case reviews with the Bedford/Maynard team
  • Ongoing support from our Clinical Director, who will work across both locations
  • Experienced clinicians who will also work across Bedford and Maynard
  • FYZICAL clinical education and mentorship resources, including FYZICAL’s Clinical Compass Mentorship Program and FYZICAL College
  • Company-paid in-person clinical training, including reasonable travel, hotel and meal expenses when required

Grow With Us

Our Bedford clinic has built a strong local reputation and 5-star patient reviews, and Maynard is the next step in our growth. As our locally owned practice expands, strong clinicians will have opportunities to take on additional clinical and leadership responsibility based on their interests and strengths. We are not hiring someone simply to fill a schedule - we want someone who can become an important part of what we build next.

Interested in fewer hours? Our primary need is for a 32-40 hour anchor clinician, but we are also happy to hear from experienced PTs interested in part-time opportunities.
