Phillips Academy is seeking a part-time Director of Standardized Testing to oversee the administration, coordination, and scheduling of all standardized exams throughout the academic year, including the SAT, ACT, PreACT, PSAT, Practice PSAT, and AP exams. This position plays a key role in supporting students, families, and faculty by ensuring that all testing is conducted efficiently, securely, and in full compliance with testing board standards.
The Director works collaboratively with the Student Accessibility Services Office and the College Counseling Office to meet the Academy’s testing needs and support equitable access for all students. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced educational environment.
Position Schedule:
This is an academic-year, part-time position with a typical schedule of 20 hours per week. Additional hours may be required during peak testing periods to support exam administration.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution required
- Valid Driver’s license
- Candidates must have 2-4 years of experience in an educational environment overseeing testing operations or related academic programs
- Proficiency in data entry and management systems, with strong skills in Excel.
- 2 to 4 years of Supervisory experience
- Experience providing customer service in a professional or academic environment
The ideal candidate will be organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic academic setting. Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential, as the role involves frequent interaction with students, families, faculty, and external testing organizations. Some evening and weekend hours are required during peak testing periods.
