Job DescriptionJob Opportunity: Mental Health Therapist

Our organization is on the lookout for a dedicated and empathetic Mental Health Therapist to deliver exceptional behavioral health services to children, adolescents, adults, and families throughout Massachusetts. As a member of our Healthcare & Medical Services team, you will provide outpatient psychotherapy and related clinical support, assisting patients in navigating a variety of mental health challenges through tailored, evidence-based treatment strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough biopsychosocial assessments and develop diagnostic impressions based on DSM-5 criteria.
  • Collaboratively create individualized treatment plans that align with each patient's goals, strengths, and needs.
  • Deliver individual, family, and, when suitable, group therapy utilizing methods such as cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy-informed approaches, and solution-focused techniques.
  • Regularly assess patient progress, revise treatment plans, and modify interventions to ensure effective, outcome-oriented care.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all clinical interactions and treatment plans within our electronic health record system.
  • Adhere to ethical and legal standards of practice, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and organizational privacy policies.
  • Engage in case consultations and coordinate care with psychiatrists, primary care providers, and community resources.
  • Participate in crisis assessments and interventions for patients presenting acute safety concerns, contributing to safety planning and risk assessments.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Social Work, Psychology, Counseling).
  • Valid licensure to practice as a mental health professional in Massachusetts.
  • Experience in providing therapy to diverse populations.
  • Strong understanding of evidence-based therapeutic modalities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
