Position Overview

We are hiring a Seasonal Package Porter to support a busy luxury residential building during the holiday season. This is a part-time, seasonal role working alongside a full-time Package Porter in the building’s package room. This position is ideal for someone who is reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. There may be opportunities to pick up additional shifts as needed to cover staffing gaps.

Schedule & Duration

• Hours: Typically between 3:00 PM and 9:00 PM
• Weekly Hours: Approximately 16–20 hours per week
• Days: Vary based on operational needs (evenings and some weekends as required)
• Seasonal Dates: Position runs through the last week of December
• Future Opportunity: This role may transition to a permanent position if there is an ongoing need and the candidate is a strong fit, but this is not guaranteed

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, log, organize, and store resident packages in the package room
• Work alongside the full-time Package Porter to manage high package volume
• Assist residents with locating and picking up packages in a timely, professional manner
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe package room environment
• Follow building and company protocols for package handling, security, and privacy
• Communicate clearly and professionally with residents, property management, and Apex leadership
• Support coverage needs by picking up additional shifts when available (optional but preferred)

Requirements:

Qualifications

• Prior customer service, hospitality, retail, warehouse, or package handling experience is a plus, but not required
• Ability to lift, carry, and move packages (often up to 30–50 lbs) safely and repeatedly during a shift
• Comfortable standing and walking for most of the shift
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Reliable, punctual, and professional in appearance and communication
• Able to work evening shifts (3pm–9pm) and a flexible schedule based on building needs
• Must be authorized to work in the United States
