Minimum 1+ years Paraprofessional or Special Education experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Make a meaningful difference in a student's life by providing vital support in a dynamic school setting. A dedicated paraprofessional is needed for a contract opportunity near Peterborough, NH. In this role, you'll partner 1:1 with a student in a life skills program at a welcoming middle school, helping both academically and with essential daily living needs. Candidates with LNA or CNA credentials are also encouraged to apply.
Key Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a paraprofessional, personal care assistant, LNA, or CNA preferred
- Compassionate and patient, with a commitment to supporting students with special needs
- Comfortable assisting with a toileting plan, positioning, and other daily living tasks
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with educators and therapists
- Ability to follow individualized education and care plans
- Dependable and punctual, with a proactive approach to supporting education
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 support in a life skills classroom, focusing on both academic engagement and daily living
- Assist the student with toileting, positioning, and personal care, ensuring dignity and safety
- Implement educational and behavior support plans as directed by teachers or specialists
- Foster a positive, supportive environment that encourages student independence and confidence
- Collaborate with staff and communicate effectively about student progress and needs
- Maintain accurate documentation as required
This is a contract position running from ASAP through June 2026, Monday through Friday, from 8:50 a.m. to 3:22 p.m.
