Job Description
Our pharma agency client is seeking a Technical Project Manager with a strong grasp of healthcare or pharma marketing to lead the execution of web, mobile and digital experience projects across HIPAA-compliant and patient-centric platforms across web and mobile. This is a temporary position with full-time hours. You won’t be writing code, but you’ll need to speak the language of developers, designers and strategists to deliver seamless, secure and compliant digital solutions that support patient engagement, provider communication and brand performance.
Responsibilities:
Healthcare-Focused Digital Project Management
- Translate marketing and business objectives into well-defined project scopes
- Ensure digital projects align with healthcare regulations, accessibility standards (WCAG) and organizational brand and compliance policies
Technical Planning and Workflow Management
- Build detailed project plans and sprint schedules covering technical development and QA cycles
- Manage progress using tools like Jira or Asana and ensure transparency with stakeholders
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Collaborate with development, UX, QA, content and compliance teams to deliver web, mobile or email solutions tailored to healthcare audiences
- Manage third-party vendors including hosting providers, MarTech partners and creative agencies
Agile Execution and Sprint Facilitation
- Run Agile or hybrid delivery models, leading sprint planning, backlog grooming, standups and retrospectives
- Work closely with development teams to clarify technical needs, acceptance criteria and implementation blockers
Risk Management in Regulated Environments
- Identify and mitigate potential risks including data security concerns, integration delays and regulatory dependencies
- Coordinate with legal and compliance to ensure proper handling of patient consent and digital tracking technologies
Analytics and Performance Monitoring
- Use platforms like Google Analytics, Tag Manager or Adobe Analytics to monitor KPIs such as engagement, conversion and form completion rates
- Partner with marketing and analytics teams to recommend optimizations post-launch
Documentation and Process Improvement
- Maintain clear documentation for technical specifications, compliance workflows and vendor handoffs
- Drive continuous improvement in project workflows, reporting structures and stakeholder communications
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years managing digital or technology projects in healthcare, life sciences or pharma industries
- Understanding of HIPAA, patient privacy and digital compliance protocols
- Familiarity with digital marketing tools including CMS platforms (e.g., Sitecore, Drupal, headless CMS), email platforms, CRM integrations and secure data flows)
- Experience collaborating with developers, designers, QA and compliance teams
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and web development fundamentals (HTML, CSS, JavaScript basics)
- Skilled in project management tools such as Jira or Asana
- Strong communicator with the ability to bridge technical and non-technical teams in a regulated environment
- Agile or hybrid methodology experience (Scrum, Kanban) a plus
