Multiple contract opportunities are available to work with students from Pre-Kindergarten through 12th grade, either in a one-on-one capacity or in small group settings. Qualifications and Experience:
- Previous experience as a paraprofessional or in a similar role within a school setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with supporting students with a range of learning, physical, or behavioral needs.
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, teachers, and other support staff.
- Flexibility to assist across grade levels from Pre-K to 12th grade.
- Patience, adaptability, and a collaborative approach to working within diverse classroom environments.
- Associates Degree, a paraprofessional certification, or equivalent combination of education/experience may be required according to state guidelines.
Responsibilities:
- Provide instructional, behavioral, or physical support to students in both one-on-one and group settings.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers and special education staff to help implement individualized education plans and daily lesson activities.
- Assist students with classroom tasks, personal care (if needed), and participation in activities.
- Encourage and guide students to help maximize their strengths and independence.
- Document student progress and communicate observations to appropriate staff.
- Foster a nurturing, inclusive, and positive learning environment for all students.
