Job Description
Masis Staffing Solutions is assisting our client an industry leader in advanced materials processing, to find a Laser Machine Operator for their Devens, MA facility. Training provided! Laser operator experience is a big plus. This is a temporary position with potential to convert to permanent based on performance.
Join a tight-knit, skilled team producing precision components using lapping, polishing, and edge grinding techniques. You'll work with a wide range of materials used in aerospace, medical, and other high-tech industries.
Pay & Schedule:
- $25–$35 per hour (based on experience)
- Full-time (40 hours/week)
- Day shift
Responsibilities:
- Operate specialized machines for lapping, polishing, and edge grinding
- Use precision tools (micrometers, calipers, drop indicators, interferometers) to check tolerances
- Read technical drawings and process/job travelers
- Ensure material and quantity accuracy per work orders
- Follow verbal and written instructions to meet quality and quantity goals
Qualifications:
- Machine shop experience required
- Strong time management skills
- Comfortable working in a collaborative, team-based environment
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs
- Laser operator experience is a plus, but not required
