Join Our Team as a Recreation Assistant (Memory Care Unit)
Location: Bedford Hills – 30 Colby Ct, Bedford, NH 03110
Position: Recreation Assistant – 30 Hours/Week - Day/Evening Shift or Part time

Bedford Hills is excited to announce that we are now under new ownership and are currently seeking a compassionate and energetic Recreation Assistant for our Memory Care Unit. In this meaningful role, you’ll help enrich the lives of our residents by leading and supporting engaging, therapeutic activities tailored to those with memory care needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Activity Planning: Create and implement recreational and therapeutic programs specifically designed for residents with memory care needs

  • Activity Facilitation: Lead individual and group sessions including music, movement, arts, sensory stimulation, and reminiscence

  • Resident Engagement: Foster a warm and inclusive environment that promotes participation and emotional well-being

  • Program Evaluation: Track participation and adapt programming based on resident needs and feedback

  • Collaboration: Partner with nursing and clinical staff to support individualized care plans

  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of attendance and engagement

Requirements:

  • Experience in a recreation or activity role (memory care/dementia experience strongly preferred)

  • Compassionate, patient, and creative approach to working with seniors

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to plan and adapt engaging activities to different cognitive and physical levels

  • High school diploma or equivalent; coursework or certifications in therapeutic recreation a plus

  • Availability to work every other weekend is required
