Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position requiring advanced telemetry experience and an active NH or Compact RN license.
Details
- 12-hour night shifts, 3 shifts per week
- Inpatient Med/Surg Telemetry unit
- Advanced telemetry monitoring required, including management of Cardizem and insulin drips (hyperglycemia, not DKA) and Phenobarbital on tele
- Cerner EMR experience is preferred but not required
- Floating to a sister facility may be requested
- No on-call requirements
Requirements
- Active NH or Compact RN license required — temp licenses are not accepted
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in an acute care setting
- Advanced telemetry experience required
- 3 professional references required upon offer acceptance (2 must be from leadership such as a manager or charge RN)
Additional Information
- First-time travelers with strong relevant experience will be considered
- Candidates must pass an Advanced Dysrhythmia exam during onboarding
- Weekly orientation is provided
- Former permanent staff are eligible to return as a traveler after a minimum 12-month break in service
- Local candidates within 50 miles of the facility are welcome to apply at a local pay rate
