This position offers consistent weekday hours from 8:45 am to 3:00 pm, making it an excellent opportunity for those who value a stable and structured schedule.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Previous experience as a paraprofessional in a school or educational setting is highly desirable
  • Strong understanding of special education needs and effective support strategies for students with behavioral and academic challenges
  • Ability to build rapport with middle school-aged students and work collaboratively with teachers and support staff
  • Patience, compassion, and empathy in one-on-one and small group interactions
  • High school diploma or equivalent required

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct, individualized academic and behavioral support to a middle school student
  • Implement instructional strategies under teacher guidance to reinforce classroom learning
  • Assist with social and emotional skill-building throughout the school day
  • Monitor student progress, documenting observations and collaborating with the educational team
  • Support the student in navigating transitions and managing daily routines
