Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Located in Claremont, NH, this Special Education Teacher position serves K-12 students in a virtual format under a contract running from ASAP through June 12, 2026 (tentative). The role requires up to 37.5 hours per week supporting students with disabilities by implementing individualized instruction and behavioral support in accordance with federal and state mandates.
Key Responsibilities:
- Write, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) using the NHSEIS system.
- Collaborate virtually with teachers, parents, and service providers via platforms such as Canvas and Zoom.
- Use data analysis and behavior-tracking tools to monitor student progress.
- Maintain compliance with special education laws including IDEA and New Hampshire regulations.
- Conduct observations and generate detailed reports on student learning behaviors.
- Work closely with school administrators, central office staff, and families to support student success.
Required Qualifications:
- Must hold all required New Hampshire state certification credentials for special education.
- Prior experience as a virtual case manager or special education teacher within New Hampshire.
- Strong understanding of IEP development and monitoring within virtual education settings.
- Proficient in English with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Knowledge of positive behavioral supports and experience working with students with behavioral and affective disorders.
