Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An elementary special education teacher position is available in Saint Albans, VT, for the current school year on a contract basis. This role supports students in grades K-5, providing specialized instruction and services to meet individual educational needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with disabilities.
- Deliver special education instruction aligned with K-5 curriculum standards.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to promote student success.
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting strategies as needed.
- Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Valid license for K-5 teaching with an endorsement in elementary special education.
- Experience working with elementary-aged students requiring special education services.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work on-site full-time from March 4th through the end of the school year.
