Minimum 1+ years Paraprofessional or Special Education experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A unique contract opportunity is available for skilled paraprofessionals interested in supporting student success and well-being in a dedicated educational setting. This role focuses on providing direct, individualized assistance as a Personal Care Assistant (PCA) within a life skills program. You'll be an integral part of the student’s academic growth and daily care, working closely with educators in a collaborative, supportive environment.
Key Qualifications:
- Experience as a paraprofessional or in a similar educational support role
- Open to candidates with relevant credentials such as LNA or CNA
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine commitment to making a difference for students with special needs
- Capable of assisting with both academic tasks and personal care, including toileting support and student positioning
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with both students and staff
Responsibilities:
- Deliver 1:1 support for a student in the life skills program, fostering a positive and inclusive learning experience
- Implement toileting plans and assist with personal hygiene needs as required
- Provide academic assistance under the direction of classroom teachers and specialists
- Support the student’s participation in classroom and school activities while prioritizing safety and comfort
- Maintain reliable documentation of daily activities and student progress
Work Schedule:
- Monday through Friday, from 8:50 a.m. to 3:22 p.m.
- Contract position available immediately through June 2026
