Position Overview

We are looking to hire a dedicated and collaborative Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to deliver both direct behavioral services and consultative support across three school sites. This full-time, in-person role plays a critical part in crafting and executing effective behavior intervention strategies, offering staff training, and providing district-wide behavioral support for students in kindergarten through eighth grade.

The successful candidate will partner with educators, psychologists, counselors, paraprofessionals, and families to cultivate positive, structured, and inclusive learning environments. New BCBA graduates are encouraged to apply, as the district provides robust mentorship and fosters a team-oriented work atmosphere.

Core Responsibilities

Student-Focused Behavioral Interventions

  • Perform Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) to uncover underlying causes of challenging behaviors

  • Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) aligned with students IEPs and 504 plans

  • Use data-driven methods to track student progress and modify behavior plans as necessary

  • Collaborate with IEP teams and student support staff to ensure consistent behavioral supports throughout school settings

Collaboration and Professional Development

  • Provide training and ongoing coaching for teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service providers on proactive, positive behavior management strategies

  • Model behavior management techniques, offer feedback on intervention fidelity, and support staff in data collection and de-escalation skills

  • Encourage the application of trauma-informed, culturally sensitive, and inclusive behavior practices within classrooms

System-Level Behavior Support

  • Support the development and evaluation of school-wide Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) initiatives

  • Participate in multidisciplinary teams such as MTSS to address complex behavioral and academic needs

  • Collaborate with district leadership to promote safe, welcoming school environments

  • Assist with crisis prevention, risk assessment, and post-incident support for students returning to school

Documentation and Compliance

  • Maintain accurate and timely records of assessments, interventions, communications, and compliance with IDEA and Section 504 requirements

  • Prepare behavior-related documentation for IEP meetings and participate in special education evaluations as needed

  • Stay current with best practices in applied behavior analysis and relevant educational policies

Required Qualifications

  • Masters degree or higher in Applied Behavior Analysis, Special Education, Psychology, or related field

  • Active BCBA certification from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB)

  • Eligible for or currently hold New Hampshire Department of Education Behavior Analyst endorsement (or equivalent)

  • Strong expertise in behavioral principles, data collection, and research-backed intervention methods

  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset

  • Ability to travel between district school sites as required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting K8 students in public school settings

  • Knowledge of FBA and BIP development within special education frameworks

  • Familiarity with school-wide behavioral programs such as PBIS or MTSS

  • Understanding of trauma-informed approaches and supports for emotional/behavioral challenges

  • Comfort coaching educators and support staff in ABA methodologies
