Who you are:

An IT Support Specialist who works closely with our Infrastructure team to keep things running smoothly across all our systems. Able to provide both Tier 1 and Tier 2 support, help maintain our hardware and software, and jump in on special IT projects when needed. Someone who enjoys variety, with some days being in the office helping users remotely, and other days out in the field supporting our plant locations in New Hampshire and Vermont. Someone who is adaptable, solution-oriented, and always looking for ways to make tech work better for the team.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Deploy, maintain, troubleshoot, and replace IT hardware and software systems.
  • Maintain log on all current and resolved issues by converting requests into tickets and maintain updates and communication.
  • Assist end users with IT related issues.
  • Maintain incident and resolution record keeping to the specifications of the IT department.
  • Maintain accurate records of IT related expenditures for regular review.
  • Develop a sound understanding of the software and hardware platforms used by as the organization.
  • Stay abreast of IT solutions related to the organizations line of business.
  • Escalate requests to industry specific vendors.
  • Maintain office appearance.
  • Follow existing procedures for routine onboarding/offboarding users.
  • Monitor and support the company’s phone system.
  • Responsible for working safely and following company established policies and procedures.

Desired Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology or related Computer Science degree. and two to five years of IT work related experience.

Minimum Education and Experience:

  • Associate’s degree in information technology or related Computer Science degree

and four years of IT work related experience.

Required Skills:

  • Working knowledge of Site-To-Site VPN, LAN and WAN topologies and architecture.
  • Working knowledge of PC hardware and components including processors, motherboards, accessories, cards, peripherals.
  • To perform this job successfully an individual should have knowledge of common office productivity software and hardware – Microsoft Windows environment (preferred).
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills (Clear communication is key and must be able to operate autonomously with limited direction).
  • Must have excellent analytical and problem resolution skills -Define problem, assemble information, and determine resolution options.)
  • Must represent the company in a professional manner and be a team player.
  • Must have excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Must be able to maintain confidential information.
  • Must possess a high level of self-motivation and determination to successfully complete tasks, projects, and responsibilities in a timely manner.

Certificates and Licenses

  • Must have a valid driver’s license and be insurable within the company and insurance company’s tolerable insurable limits, and be willing to travel, as this position may require travel and the use of your personal (mileage reimbursed) or a company vehicle from time to time.
  • Must be willing to continue your education to maintain a high level of proficiency in the field of Information Technology and software as it relates to our business.
  • Preferred certificates: CompTIA A+ or Microsoft Certified Professional.

Schedule: We guarantee 40 hours all year round! Voluntary layoff accepted. Must be able to work flexible hours as necessary. Some Saturday work required
