Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Heavy Truck / Equipment Mechanic role based in Foxborough, MA. The mechanic will perform routine and preventive maintenance on heavy trucks, aerial lifts, chippers, loaders, and other arborist equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation. Daily responsibilities include diagnosing mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues, completing repairs, and documenting work performed. The role involves inspecting equipment for wear or damage, ordering or sourcing parts as needed, and coordinating with operations staff to minimize downtime. The mechanic will also help maintain a clean, safe shop environment and follow all safety and compliance standards.

Qualifications

  • Strong skills in Maintenance and Maintenance & Repair for heavy trucks and equipment.
  • \n

  • Proficiency in Preventive Maintenance practices to extend equipment life and reduce breakdowns.
  • \n

  • Hands-on experience working with Heavy Equipment common to the tree care or construction industries.
  • \n

  • Ability to perform effective Troubleshooting of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
  • \n

  • Relevant technical training or certification in diesel or automotive mechanics is preferred.
  • \n

  • Experience using basic and advanced shop tools, diagnostic equipment, and repair manuals.
  • \n

  • Ability to read and interpret work orders, equipment diagrams, and safety procedures.
  • \n

  • Reliable work habits, attention to detail, and ability to work both independently and within a team.
  • \n

  • Valid driver’s license; CDL or hydraulic license is a plus.
  • \n

  • Prior experience in a fleet or heavy equipment maintenance environment is highly beneficial.
