Seeking an experienced Physical Therapist or Physical Therapist Assistant to support students throughout the academic year. This contract opportunity offers a consistent, full-time weekday schedule—approximately 7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.—from September 3rd through June 17th. You’ll work across four schools in the area, managing a caseload of around 40 students. The school system values continuity and frequently renews contracts yearly, including opportunities to extend into Extended School Year (ESY) sessions.
Bring your passion for pediatric or school-based physical therapy to a supportive environment. Both licensed Physical Therapists and PTAs with experience in school or healthcare settings are encouraged to apply.
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Current licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT) or Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)
- Previous experience in school or pediatric settings highly preferred
- Familiarity with IEP development, implementation, and documentation
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with educators, families, and other support staff
- Strong organizational abilities when managing a multi-site caseload
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative physical therapy services to students, following their individualized education plans
- Conduct assessments to develop and update student goals
- Keep up-to-date records and participate in interdisciplinary meetings
- Travel between four nearby school sites as scheduled
- Foster students’ functional mobility and participation in the school setting
