Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Work closely with students requiring specialized instruction in math and reading, ensuring tailored support meets their individual educational needs.
Key Qualifications:
- Special Education teacher certification OR demonstrable experience as a trained math/reading tutor
- Orton-Gillingham (OG) or Wilson training required
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with students, families, and colleagues
- Background working with K-12 special education populations is preferred
- Commitment to fostering a supportive and encouraging classroom environment
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct instruction in accordance with individual education plans (IEPs) and established program methods
- Implement OG or Wilson interventions to support literacy and/or math development
- Collaborate with general educators, related service providers, and families
- Adapt teaching materials and methods to accommodate various learning styles and abilities
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records to document achievements and areas of need
- Contribute to a positive, respectful learning environment during the summer session
Role Details:
- Contract assignment running from July 12th to August 13th
- 16 hours per week, spread across 4 days (Monday-Thursday)
- Work with a diverse student group spanning grades K-12
- Competitive pay between $45 and $50 per hour, with weekly payroll for added convenience
