Job Title: Floor Host
Pay Rate: $21.53/hr
Shift: Monday – Friday, 7:45 AM – 4:45 AM
Location: Boston, MA
Job Summary
The Floor Host/Hospitality Associate plays a critical, client-facing role in ensuring seamless execution of daily meetings, events, and workspace utilization. This hybrid position provides on-the-ground support across multiple office floors, facilitates room setup and breakdown, assists with audio-visual (AV) needs, and ensures that all client-facing spaces meet hospitality standards. Acting as a first point of contact, the Specialist is instrumental in creating a polished and professional experience for guests, employees, and vendors.
Key Responsibilities
Room Setup & Environment Support

Prepare meeting and training rooms based on specifications (floor plans, event forms, or organizer input).

Adjust spaces using movable walls (airwalls), place materials, tape down cords, and fine-tune room setup as needed.

Ensure optimal room conditions: lighting, temperature, cleanliness, AV readiness, and supply availability.

Perform floor tours to maintain a consistent professional appearance throughout all client-facing areas.
Customer Service & Experience

Act as a visible and approachable resource for employees, clients, and visitors.

Support meeting hosts and attendees by confirming room details and assisting as meetings begin.

Promote the client’s hoteling/mobile workspace model; help guests find, reserve, and occupy spaces.

Monitor meeting rooms for usage and occupancy; reclaim unused spaces and report no-shows.

Provide business support via email, phone, and in-person interaction with a client-first mentality.
Technology & AV Support

Troubleshoot and support basic AV setups (monitors, projectors, microphones, etc.).

Offer on-site assistance or escalate issues to the appropriate teams as needed.

Ensure all technology is secured when not in use and returned to its designated storage area.
Post-Event Cleanup & Reporting

Clear leftover materials and reset rooms promptly for the next event.

Log client feedback, interactions, and service outcomes for internal reporting and quality improvement.

Collaborate with facilities and maintenance to report issues (e.g., damaged furniture, lighting problems).
Training & Compliance

Attend required training sessions and demonstrate a willingness to grow technical and customer service skills.

Adhere to all client and company policies, including safety, conduct, and dress code standards.
Qualifications
Experience:
-
2–3 years of experience in a service-oriented role (hospitality, event planning, hotel, or restaurant preferred).
Technical Skills:

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, etc.).

Familiarity with AV equipment and the ability to troubleshoot common issues.
Communication Skills:

Strong verbal and written communication.

Comfortable engaging with clients at all professional levels.
Physical Requirements:

Able to stand and walk for extended periods.

Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

Ability to bend, squat, kneel, and push/pull carts or furniture occasionally.
