Role Overview:
BEPC, Inc. is seeking a Software Verification and Validation Engineer to support our client’s verification and validation (V&V) activities for complex software systems. In this role, you’ll ensure software products meet all functional, quality, and regulatory standards before release. You’ll be hands-on in designing, executing, and automating test plans to confirm software performance, compliance, and reliability.
This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented engineer passionate about software quality, automation, and continuous improvement within a regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute detailed verification and validation (V&V) test plans, protocols, and reports.
- Design and automate test cases derived from software requirements and specifications.
- Conduct functional, regression, integration, and system-level testing.
- Identify, document, and track software defects using tools like JIRA or TestRail.
- Maintain traceability between requirements, test cases, and results.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and ensure testability.
- Ensure compliance with relevant standards (ISO, IEC, FDA, etc.).
- Support risk assessment and continuous improvement of test processes.
- Maintain and enhance automated testing frameworks using Python, Selenium, or PowerShell.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
- Proven experience in software verification, validation, and test automation.
- Proficiency with tools such as JIRA, TestRail, and automated test frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, etc.).
- Familiarity with Windows environments and domain configurations.
- Understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies.
- Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
- Experience in regulated industries (medical devices, aerospace, or automotive) preferred.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with IEC 62304, ISO 13485, or DO-178C standards.
- Familiarity with Agile or Waterfall development methodologies.
- Understanding of risk management and quality assurance processes.
Contract Details:
- Contract Duration: 11/17/2025-05/18/2026
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, standard business hours
- Compensation: $50-$70 an hour
