Job DescriptionJJ Goodwin’s is looking for an experienced, dependable Full-Time Kitchen Manager to lead our back-of-house operations. We are seeking someone who takes pride in running an organized, efficient kitchen while leading a team to consistently deliver great food and excellent service.
Position:
- Full-Time
- Salary Position (based on experience)
General Responsibilities
- Order all food and kitchen supplies
- Manage inventory and maintain proper stock levels
- Organize food storage, walk-ins, freezers, and dry storage
- Control food costs and minimize waste
- Create and maintain prep lists
- Ensure food quality and consistency
- Hire, train, schedule, and manage kitchen staff
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen
- Ensure compliance with all health and food safety regulations
- Coordinate with ownership on menu items, specials, and purchasing
- Work alongside the kitchen team during busy service periods
- Maintain equipment and report maintenance needs
- Foster a positive, team-oriented work environment
Qualifications
- Previous kitchen management or sous chef experience preferred
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Experience with food ordering and inventory management
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Reliable, organized, and self-motivated
