Your Responsibilities as a CDL-A Delivery Driver
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the tractor-trailer, submitting a DOT inspection report detailing the vehicle's condition
- Verify the accuracy of the bill of lading and store keys during off-hour deliveries
- Safely operate the tractor-trailer to its destination, utilizing knowledge of commercial driving regulations and vehicle maneuvering skills
- Maintain a driver log (either Manual or Peoplenet) in compliance with DOT regulations, documenting delivery receipts, product temperatures, and any exceptions
- Unload the trailer and deliver products to customer locations
- Perform other assigned duties as necessary
Qualifications for CDL-A Teammates
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Possess a valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL-A)
- Have a minimum of 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor-trailer driving experience
- Meet our organization's MVR and risk rating qualifications
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend English at a level necessary for effective and safe job performance, including understanding work instructions and safety protocols
