Assistant Superintendent
Position Overview
The Assistant Superintendent will support the Superintendent in overseeing construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring quality, safety, and timely execution of work. This role involves coordinating with various stakeholders, managing teams, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the planning and execution of construction projects
- Coordinate site supervision and oversee daily activities on-site
- Manage scheduling and ensure project timelines are met
- Conduct quality control inspections to ensure standards are upheld
- Enforce safety compliance on the job site to prevent accidents
- Lead and motivate project teams to achieve high-performance standards
- Assist in budgeting and financial management of construction projects
- Communicate effectively with team members, clients, and subcontractors
- Troubleshoot and solve problems that may arise during construction
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and manage contracts as necessary
Qualifications
- Proven experience in site supervision and construction management
- Strong experience in multi-family construction
- Strong knowledge of scheduling and project management software
- Experience in quality control and safety compliance
- Demonstrated team leadership and management skills
- Ability to manage project budgets and financials
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities and critical thinking skills
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance and contract management
- A degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred
