Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Step into a rewarding opportunity as a contract Occupational Therapist serving students throughout the 2026-2027 school year. From September 1st to June 15th, you’ll work full-time (31 hours per week) providing vital support across both elementary and high school levels in an itinerant capacity. This position offers a diverse experience supporting students with a variety of needs, and your flexibility and dedication will help shape an engaging and supportive educational environment.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver skilled occupational therapy services within a school setting, emphasizing student independence and participation.
- Travel between elementary and high school locations to address students’ individualized education program (IEP) goals.
- Conduct assessments, develop intervention plans, and document student progress in alignment with school protocols.
- Collaborate with educators, families, and other service providers to create optimal learning strategies for students.
- Consult with school staff to promote classroom accommodations and modifications.
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to ongoing program development.
- Adapt to caseload changes as they are finalized prior to and during the school year.
Qualifications:
- Active state licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT).
- Prior experience in a school-based setting preferred.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Capability to manage an itinerant schedule across multiple school sites.
- Enthusiasm for working with students of varied ages and backgrounds.
